First Look at the OPUS-QUAD by Pioneer DJ
The OPUS-QUAD is a Pro All-In-One DJ System that was created by Pioneer DJ and targeted to the Mobile DJ market rather than the club market.
This stand-alone 4-deck beast features a built-in CPU (actual computer) that Pioneer DJ states is more powerful than other competitors on the market. This unit may be powerful, but it’s not cheap, coming in at a price of $3199.
The unit features 5 different hi resolution glass video screens some with touch control too. It’s a different feel from the industrial look of the former club-style mixers and CDJ’s Pioneer is famous for.
The unit boasts rubberized knobs which have a great feel to them, selector switches are joystick-like. You can also have 2 different zones of music playing simultaneously.
Wifi connectivity for eventual streaming becoming available and Record Box Cloud, and transformers and filters that are touch sensitive. You can plug anything from a USB drive to a large SSD drive into this unit. You can even connect to a PC.
There’s a rapid track search feature where DJ’s can find tracks faster than ever before no matter how large your library is. Of course, there are plenty of sound effects, echo, and color Fx as well all packed into the OPUS-QUAD.
The OPUS-QUAD is compatible with Record Box and Serato. Overall the unit is sleek looking and has an exciting futuristic new look to it for the Mobile market seeking an all-in-one solution.
